Job Summary

Lead complex aerothermal design and analyses for turbomachinery, from early concept through qualification and production. Execute root-cause investigations, maintain and improve aerodynamic design methods, and support prototype and production development testing. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to shape new technologies and system architectures, characterize compressor, turbine, and fan performance maps, and drive process and tooling improvements while mentoring the next generation of engineers.

Key Responsibilities

•Execute, coordinate, and oversee aerothermal design for turbomachinery across the lifecycle from concept through qualification and production.
•Lead root cause investigations and develop innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges.
•Maintain and develop aerodynamic design techniques, methods, and standards for turbomachinery.
•Participate in multidisciplinary teams to design and develop new technologies and system architectures for optimal performance.
•Support prototype and production development test activities and perform verification/validation of compressor, turbine, and fan performance maps.

Key Requirements

•Typically requires a STEM degree with minimum 8 years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree with minimum 5 years of experience.
•U.S. citizenship only (dual citizenship not permitted) is required.
•Prior engineering experience within aerospace, automotive, power generation, or manufacturing environments.
•Proficient in 3D CAD modeling applications such as Unigraphics NX or similar.
•Skilled in 1D mean line sizing of turbomachinery and capable of verifying/characterizing performance in relevant applications.
