Key Responsibilities

•Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT Inspections, and follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles.
•Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck equipment across electrical/brake/cooling systems, starters/alternators, engine electronics, diesel steering, engines, transmissions, clutches, and differentials.
•Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment using test instruments, and road test vehicles to diagnose malfunctions and verify performance.
•Maintain and operate the company-issued service vehicle, including safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections.
•Document repairs and DOT forms on repair orders (RO) using a company-issued iOS device and the proprietary TRAIT application, including uploading photos of work performed and findings.

Key Requirements

•High School Diploma/GED with 3 years’ experience in a related field (or equivalent combination such as degree/certification beyond HS/GED or 5 years’ related experience).
•Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
•Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification T8 (PMI) within eighteen (18) months.
•Be able to successfully complete and pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and a DOT physical prior to employment (including having a valid DOT medical card with required remaining validity).
•Hold a current, valid state-of-residence driver’s license and be able to maintain a Driver Qualification File (candidates must be at least 21 years or older).
