Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck equipment systems including electrical/brake/cooling, starters/alternators, engine electronics, diesel steering, engines (gas/diesel), transmissions, clutches, and differentials.
  • •Inspect, test, and evaluate defective equipment using test instruments; perform road tests to confirm malfunctions and proper operation.
  • •Maintain and operate a company-issued service vehicle (safety checks, pre-/post-trip inspections) and independently manage parts inventory and equipment on the service truck.
  • •Document work on Repair Orders (RO), including photos and findings, and accurately complete DOT and other required forms while communicating with management/support for approvals and PO numbers.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED with 3 years’ experience in a related field (or an equivalent combination such as additional certification/degree or 5 years’ experience).
  • •Obtain and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
  • •Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) T8 (PMI) certification within eighteen (18) months.
  • •Pass a DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical prior to employment (or submit a current DOT medical card with >4 months remaining).
  • •Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain/maintain a Driver Qualification File; candidates must be at least 21 years or older.
