Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage day-to-day service operations of installations, delivery, and deployment of technical resources within the area of responsibility.
  • •Oversee customer-service-focused issue prediction, detection, documentation, and resolution; identify root causes and follow up on action plans.
  • •Install and troubleshoot low-voltage cabling infrastructure (including fiber optic, communications cabling, and structured cable systems), including upgrades and repairs.
  • •Perform network asset field work: physically install/configure/test switches, routers, firewalls, and network tools; complete MAC requests and hardware break-fix.
  • •Install and maintain Wi-Fi systems (wireless router and roof-mounted antenna), respond to emergencies/on-call needs, and complete required work-order and time documentation.

Key Requirements

  • •5 years of experience in data communications and working in communications closets.
  • •Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and ability to safely lift heavy objects and carry a 6-foot ladder.
  • •Proficiency using technical tools such as cable testers and fiber testers, and understanding cable patching processes and procedures.
  • •Basic knowledge of local and wide area networking and Cisco phones, switches, and routers.
  • •Comfort explaining technical issues to customers and interpreting issues to facilitate resolution.
