Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead and grow the Cloud Wallet backend team: hiring, onboarding, performance management, and engineers’ professional development.
  • •Own roadmap and PI planning commitments to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery and architectural initiative progress across dependencies.
  • •Maintain operational excellence by owning SLIs/SLOs, leading incident response posture, and establishing on-call and observability standards for production systems.
  • •Partner with tech leads and staff engineers to architect for scale and reliability on TypeScript/Scala services handling high throughput and multi-chain complexity; review ADRs.
  • •Drive engineering practices including CI/CD, end-to-end testing on testnets, code review quality, technical debt management, and AI-assisted engineering workflows.

Key Requirements

  • •3+ years managing backend engineering teams in a product-driven, distributed environment.
  • •Strong backend systems technical background to challenge architecture decisions and unblock engineers.
  • •Experience operating services at scale with high-availability and event-driven architectures, plus observability tooling (e.g., RabbitMQ, PostgreSQL, Flink, NATS, Datadog).
  • •Comfort leading a polyglot stack across TypeScript and Scala (deep enough to lead effectively).
  • •Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; bonus interest in blockchain/crypto infrastructure and Web3.
