Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide high-level technical assistance and guidance for due diligence, investigation, remediation, impact assessment, permitting, design, development, and construction of utility-scale substation projects.
  • •Collect, compile, and analyze substation equipment/materials/system data to support procurement packages, equipment specifications, and pricing support.
  • •Perform and review protection and control electrical engineering design work, including development/review of one-line and three-line diagrams, control schematics, wiring/interconnection diagrams, and panel documentation.
  • •Develop electrical engineering calculations supporting P&C design, including auxiliary power systems, voltage drop, and related substation electrical analyses.
  • •Oversee and monitor cross-functional teams to execute project work across concept/preliminary/final design, procurement, and construction, including budgets, tracking hours/expenses, compliance documentation, and regulatory/technical analysis memos.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • •7 to 10 years of relevant post-education experience as an electrical engineer providing substation design deliverables for capital projects in power generation, transmission, and distribution.
  • •Extensive knowledge of substation design and electrical engineering principles, practices, and processes, including permitting and project work issues.
  • •Experience with electrical substation planning, design, and construction management across rehabilitation, new design, and construction projects.
  • •Ability to apply engineering codes, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements to technical computations, plans/specifications, and calculations.
