Key Responsibilities

•Lead reliability and availability engineering by defining SLOs/SLAs and DR/HA strategies, and guiding cross-region failover planning.
•Oversee database performance optimization across Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and SQL Server, identifying bottlenecks and guiding capacity planning.
•Drive Automation & Platform Engineering to automate provisioning, patching, backups, DR drills, and CI/CD integration for database lifecycles.
•Shape Observability through monitoring standards using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, and OpenTelemetry; build real-time telemetry dashboards and proactive alerting.
•Manage Major Incidents and root cause analysis, improving resilience via chaos testing and automation.

Key Requirements

•10+ years of experience in Database Administration / Platform Engineering.
•3+ years in SRE or reliability-focused roles.
•Hands-on expertise in Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and SQL Server.
•Experience managing databases in at least two hyperscalers (Azure/AWS/GCP).
•Strong automation mindset with Terraform, scripting (Python/Bash).
