Job Summary

Maintain project cost management across commitments, incurred costs, actuals, accruals, and the control budget. Process budget transfers and approved changes, manage contingency drawdown logs, and validate invoices and vendor cost data against purchase orders and contracts. Prepare monthly variance reports, develop cost forecasts with estimate-at-completion (EAC) reviews, and ensure cost coding integrates with schedules, dashboards, and earned value management (EVM) performance metrics.

Key Responsibilities

•Maintain the project’s cost management system, tracking commitments, incurred costs, actuals, and accruals against the control budget.
•Process budget transfers and approved changes to keep the cost baseline current and accurate.
•Maintain the contingency drawdown log and support contingency management reporting.
•Validate invoices and vendor cost data against purchase orders and contracts prior to approval.
•Prepare monthly cost reports with variance analysis and develop cost forecasts with EAC reviews; integrate cost data with schedule and project reporting dashboards under an EVM framework.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or related field (or equivalent).
•5–7 years of cost controls experience on large-scale mining, heavy civil, or EPCM projects.
•Experience tracking commitments, accruals, and forecasts using structured cost management systems.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for cost modeling and variance analysis; Power BI or equivalent reporting preferred.
•Familiarity with PMIS platforms such as Oracle Primavera Unifier, Procore, or e-Builder, and understanding of invoice validation, purchase orders, and contract cost structures.
