Key Responsibilities

  • •Collaborate with OSG PM leaders and project managers to track and monitor project spending using forecast cost reports and related tools.
  • •Identify cost overruns, monitor contingency and project completion dates, and submit completion reports as needed.
  • •Review project costs for compliance with regulatory, company, and departmental processes; ensure proper cost classification (GAAP/FERC where applicable).
  • •Report and analyze cost variances, trends, and irregularities to document primary drivers; calculate and support accurate project accruals.
  • •Develop and maintain reporting (including AFE/PRN write-ups and ancillary/ad-hoc KPI reports) and participate in cost review meetings; support occasional special projects as assigned.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or Engineering, or applicable experience.
  • •Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) for project cost controls.
  • •Ability to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) internal controls.
  • •Outstanding analytical skills and attention to detail to produce accurate work products.
  • •Highly competent with Microsoft Excel and experience working with project managers on cost control, forecasting, and accruals; familiarity with Lawson (or other ERP) is required.
