Job Summary

Serve as a senior technical contributor in the SOC, owning the design, implementation, optimization, and automation of the SIEM/SOAR ecosystem. Act as the technical subject matter expert for Windows and Linux systems, EDR platforms, and vulnerability/compliance management. Build and sustain telemetry pipelines, detection logic, and tool integrations that support Tier I–III analyst workflows in a complex, multi-customer federal environment.

Key Responsibilities

•Administer, harden, and automate Windows Server and Linux systems; manage Active Directory, IAM, and PKI; develop automation using PowerShell and Bash.
•Design and operate distributed SIEM architectures, including ingestion/normalization pipelines, parsing logic, retention/index strategies, and REST/API-based integrations.
•Build and maintain SOAR automation workflows for triage, enrichment, containment, and response, including scripting and integrations with identity and threat intelligence feeds.
•Administer and optimize enterprise EDR platforms, develop custom detections mapped to MITRE ATT&CK, and support endpoint forensics and incident response containment.
•Lead vulnerability and compliance management and detection engineering/threat intelligence operations; maintain platform operations and act as Tier III escalation.

Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

•8+ years of progressive cybersecurity, SOC, or security engineering experience.
•5+ years administering and securing Windows and Linux systems, including Active Directory, IAM, PKI, baseline hardening, patching, and automation.
•Hands-on SIEM engineering experience across architecture design, data onboarding, parsing/normalization, detection development, dashboards, and performance optimization.
•Experience with Splunk (SPL development, Enterprise Security, API integrations) and ability to work with other SIEM platforms (e.g., Microsoft Sentinel or IBM QRadar).
•Strong scripting proficiency in Python and PowerShell/Bash for automation and platform integration.
