Key Responsibilities

  • •Administer, harden, and automate Windows Server and Linux systems; manage Active Directory, IAM, and PKI; apply patch baselines; and build automation tooling with PowerShell and Bash.
  • •Design, implement, and operate distributed SIEM architectures, including ingestion pipelines, parsing/normalization logic, detection dashboards/alerts, retention/index strategies, and platform integration via APIs.
  • •Build and maintain SOAR automation workflows for triage, enrichment, containment, and response; script integrations and monitor SOAR automation KPIs.
  • •Administer and optimize enterprise EDR platforms (including sensor deployment and policy tuning), develop custom detections mapped to MITRE ATT&CK, and support endpoint forensics during incident response.
  • •Operate vulnerability and compliance management programs aligned to NIST 800-53, FISMA, DISA STIGs, and CIS Benchmarks; integrate findings into SIEM/SOAR for automated remediation and reporting; serve as Tier III escalation and mentor engineers.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years of progressive cybersecurity, SOC, or security engineering experience (BA/BS or equivalent).
  • •5+ years administering and securing Windows and Linux systems, including Active Directory, IAM, PKI, baseline hardening, patching, and automation.
  • •Hands-on SIEM engineering experience designing architectures, onboarding and normalizing data, building detection content, and optimizing performance (Splunk-focused).
  • •SOAR engineering experience creating API-driven automation workflows and response playbooks, with scripting for integration.
  • •Enterprise EDR administration experience (CrowdStrike Falcon preferred) plus vulnerability and compliance management experience aligned to NIST 800-53, FISMA, DISA STIGs, and CIS Benchmarks.
