Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as the sole tracker for asset management and control of all calibrated instruments on site, maintaining location and ownership in the calibration registry.
  • •Maintain objective evidence for Standard Tool & Equipment Inventory and calibration compliance artifacts required under AS9100 and manufacturing readiness level assessments.
  • •Support DCMA surveillance activities with accurate, audit-ready tooling and asset records.
  • •Own and govern the site’s tool control procedure, including broken tool replacement, tagging/engraving, and ownership handoff to station leads.
  • •Act as the named point of contact for tooling and asset management objective evidence for manufacturing readiness assessments, producing required calibration compliance artifacts.

Key Requirements

  • •Prior experience standing up or running a tool crib/tool control program in an aerospace or defense manufacturing environment, ideally under AS9100 and DCMA oversight.
  • •High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training in tool & die, machining, quality, or calibration preferred.
  • •Basic training in tool control and work order release methods; comfortable working with forms, records, and reports.
  • •Familiarity with tools, gages, and consumable supplies, plus basic storekeeping and inventory procedures.
  • •6 to 12 months of relevant tool control/tool crib experience, including tracking calibrated instruments in a registry/asset management system (coordination with a third-party calibration vendor).
