Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead and mentor a team of payroll specialists, including staff development, performance reviews, and training to maintain payroll accuracy and compliance.
  • •Oversee compliant payroll processing for cast, crew, and production employees across union and non-union workers in multiple jurisdictions and locations.
  • •Ensure compliance with entertainment labor laws, guild agreements, tax withholdings, deductions, and benefits; maintain up-to-date knowledge of labor law and union contract changes.
  • •Own union compliance reporting, including responding to audits and inquiries from regulatory agencies.
  • •Identify payroll process improvement opportunities and oversee implementation of payroll systems/software updates while partnering with IT and development to resolve system issues.

Key Requirements

  • •7+ years of entertainment industry payroll experience, with extensive knowledge of entertainment payroll platforms.
  • •5+ years of management experience leading payroll teams.
  • •In-depth knowledge of guild and union rules (SAG-AFTRA, DGA, WGA, IATSE, etc.).
  • •Strong understanding of tax laws, wage and hour laws, and payroll best practices, including compliance with withholdings, deductions, and benefits.
