Key Responsibilities

•Analyze applications (jobs, web and batch services, and ABS client) with a focus on CPU consumption in Db2 and Microfocus Enterprise Server environments
•Tune and optimize applications for performance and runtime
•Provide solutions for Performance Warehouse, analysis, and monitoring functions under Linux and PostgreSQL
•Identify, capture, and monitor relevant application performance metrics and integrate them into the Performance Warehouse
•Maintain communication with DB2 administrators and architects

Key Requirements

•Completed studies in Mathematics/Computer Science or several years of professional experience in the field of databases
•German skills in speaking and writing (C2 or fluent) and good English skills
•Advanced knowledge in programming languages PL/1, JCL, JAVA, and solid knowledge in relational databases, particularly Db2 and PostgreSQL
•Technical understanding of job processes as well as experience with Grafana and Prometheus
•Experience in the design and further development of a Performance Warehouse, including reporting/dashboarding and the design of data cubes
