Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead development of air vehicle design criteria for ground loads.
  • •Collaborate with airframe and subsystem design/analysis engineers to generate integrated aerodynamic, structural, and landing gear models for flight vehicle analysis in an MBE environment.
  • •Perform ground loads analyses (ground handling, taxi, takeoff & landing) to support design and stores integration, and define allowable flight envelopes and operational limits.
  • •Develop flight and ground test plans; create finite element and multi-body dynamics models and correlate results to test data; execute test programs and document outcomes.
  • •Review and approve airframe and subsystems hardware packages for airworthiness; support structural design requirements for service life and present engineering to management and customers during reviews.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or equivalent related non-US qualifications.
  • •5+ years of related work experience (or equivalent combination of technical education and experience).
  • •Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (interim and/or final) post-start; U.S. Citizenship required.
  • •5+ years of aircraft loads experience with emphasis on ground loads.
  • •Experience with aircraft modeling and simulation, flight and/or ground testing, and/or multi-body dynamics (MBD) modeling and analysis.
