Key Responsibilities

  • •Inseminate hens by coordinating with a teammate: invert hens’ oviducts and place semen, while ensuring correct semen placement and hen handling.
  • •Collect semen free of containments, visually inspect and record semen quality scores.
  • •Assist with semen evaluation using microscope/densimeter and other equipment to determine semen quality, replacing males that don’t meet acceptable quality.
  • •Weigh males and record weights; adjust males’ feed as needed.
  • •Support biosecurity and animal welfare requirements, including cleaning/sanitizing AI equipment and performing assigned duties such as disinfecting and other task rotations.

  • •Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no employment gaps greater than 6 months in the past 36 months.
