Key Responsibilities

  • •Own financial views of project cost performance across the build lifecycle, from early estimates and investment decisions through construction, commissioning, and completion.
  • •Develop consistent cost structures, benchmarks, forecasting methodologies, and performance reporting across projects.
  • •Analyze cost variance and root causes versus budgets, underwriting, baselines, prior forecasts, and benchmarks, including drivers like scope, schedule, design, and procurement.
  • •Build cost intelligence to connect project costs, schedule, MW delivery, and design decisions to capital efficiency and construction economics.
  • •Partner with estimating, construction, engineering, procurement, and development teams to improve early-stage estimates and establish source-of-truth data and reporting architecture.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years of experience in construction finance, project controls, capital projects accounting, or project finance, ideally within data centers, energy, industrial, or large-scale infrastructure.
  • •Demonstrated experience managing construction budgets, cost reporting, and draw processes on large capital projects (typically $100M+).
  • •Familiarity with construction loan agreements, draw/funding mechanics, and lender/independent engineer requirements.
  • •Working knowledge of GC/EPC contract structures, change order management, and construction risk allocation (bonding, retainage, liquidated damages).
  • •Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, construction management, engineering, or related field (MBA or CPA a plus).
