Key Responsibilities

•Manage the day-to-day contractual administration of assigned projects, ensuring all contractual and claim-related events are monitored, documented, and escalated when necessary.
•Provide early identification of potential risks and opportunities, recommending proactive measures to the project team.
•Interpret contract terms and work closely with project managers, site teams, and legal representatives when contractual issues arise.
•Review, log, track, and manage all incoming and outgoing project correspondence; draft contractual letters and ensure timely issuance.
•Support the setup and oversight of document control systems and maintain comprehensive records (correspondence, meeting minutes, photos).
•Participate in internal project status meetings, attend client/supplier/technical meetings when required, and assist in organizing workshops for claim/change management awareness.
•Prepare monthly reports detailing Notices of Claim, active claims, change orders, key correspondence, and significant upcoming events.
•Manage both incoming and outgoing claims, verify entitlement, collect supporting records, assess risks, prepare substantiation, and support negotiation processes.
•Assist senior management and legal teams with dispute resolution processes, including document preparation and detailed investigation of contractual issues.
•Support acceptance certificates and ensure contractual deliverables are fulfilled and records archived at project closeout

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying or Engineering.
•At least 15 years of relevant experience, with a minimum of 5 years specifically in contract administration.
•Strong working knowledge of standard contract forms such as PAM, FIDIC (Red, Yellow & Silver Books), CIDB 2022, and bespoke agreement structures.
•Familiarity with country-specific regulations, including Contracts Act, Arbitration Act, and the Construction Industry Payment and Adjudication Act (CIPAA).
•Excellent organisational, communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities with a proactive mindset for risk and change management.
