Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage the day-to-day contractual administration of assigned projects, ensuring all contractual and claim-related events are monitored, documented, and escalated when necessary.
  • •Provide early identification of potential risks and opportunities, recommending proactive measures to the project team.
  • •Interpret contract terms and work closely with project managers, site teams, and legal representatives when contractual issues arise.
  • •Review, log, track, and manage all incoming and outgoing project correspondence; draft contractual letters and ensure timely issuance.
  • •Support the setup and oversight of document control systems and maintain comprehensive records (correspondence, meeting minutes, photos).
  • •Participate in internal project status meetings, attend client/supplier/technical meetings when required, and assist in organizing workshops for claim/change management awareness.
  • •Prepare monthly reports detailing Notices of Claim, active claims, change orders, key correspondence, and significant upcoming events.
  • •Manage both incoming and outgoing claims, verify entitlement, collect supporting records, assess risks, prepare substantiation, and support negotiation processes.
  • •Assist senior management and legal teams with dispute resolution processes, including document preparation and detailed investigation of contractual issues.
  • •Support acceptance certificates and ensure contractual deliverables are fulfilled and records archived at project closeout

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying or Engineering.
  • •At least 15 years of relevant experience, with a minimum of 5 years specifically in contract administration.
  • •Strong working knowledge of standard contract forms such as PAM, FIDIC (Red, Yellow & Silver Books), CIDB 2022, and bespoke agreement structures.
  • •Familiarity with country-specific regulations, including Contracts Act, Arbitration Act, and the Construction Industry Payment and Adjudication Act (CIPAA).
  • •Excellent organisational, communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities with a proactive mindset for risk and change management.
