Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage, train, and develop the maintenance team and keep records of instructions, especially related to equipment use.
  • •Complete induction support for staff on emergency exits, fire points, and evacuation procedures.
  • •Advise by phone when off duty and respond to emergency call-outs as required.
  • •Ensure buildings/grounds and workshops/plant rooms are maintained safely and to a good standard of repair with minimal disruption.
  • •Carry out checks and record health and safety compliance, including boiler checks and ensuring residents’ electrical appliances are checked and tagged safe for use.

Key Requirements

  • •Previous experience as Head of Maintenance in a similar facilities management environment.
  • •Experience in a property or maintenance repair role with good understanding of building services (electrical distribution and plumbing).
  • •Knowledge of planned maintenance systems and record keeping, with good IT skills.
  • •Working knowledge of statutory requirements and ability to keep safety and cleanliness standards in line with regulations.
