Key Responsibilities

  • •Maintain and enhance a robust, well-documented Finance risk and control environment aligned to risk appetite and the Enterprise Risk Management Framework.
  • •Design, maintain, and improve Finance risk and control matrices for key Finance processes.
  • •Perform regular control testing and evidence review across financial reporting, month-end close, reconciliations, regulatory reporting, tax, treasury, and capital/liquidity processes.
  • •Identify control gaps, assess design and operating effectiveness, recommend enhancements, and track remediation actions.
  • •Lead/support finance risk and control self-assessments and provide concise updates to Finance leadership; support oversight with Risk & Compliance and audit requests.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold a recognised accounting qualification, or be close to qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA Ireland or equivalent).
  • •Detailed experience in audit, financial control, risk assurance, internal controls, or regulatory reporting.
  • •Banking, fintech, or financial services experience.
  • •Strong understanding of accounting processes, balance sheet controls, reconciliations, and financial reporting risks.
  • •Experience testing or reviewing controls, including assessing design and operating effectiveness.
