Key Responsibilities

  • •Maintain and repair plant, infrastructure, equipment, and assets to OEM standards to meet production availability requirements.
  • •Work safely and ensure compliance with LYB OE standards and all HSE rules, contributing to a safe working environment.
  • •Perform planned preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance, including supporting capex and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • •Troubleshoot breakdowns promptly, diagnose faults and root causes, escalate unresolved issues, and recommend improvements to increase reliability and safety.
  • •Plan and prioritize workloads for departmental KPIs, log all work, maintain shift handovers, and coordinate parts and materials needed for maintenance work.

Key Requirements

  • •Electrical or mechanical apprenticeship (time served) and NVQ Level 3 Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (HNC or above desirable).
  • •Minimum 5 years’ experience in similar plant and equipment maintenance.
  • •Substantial electrical and mechanical fitting skills, including installation experience; 18th Edition desirable.
  • •Experience working in an automated manufacturing environment; extrusion and compounding sector desirable.
  • •PC skills (Microsoft Office & SAP) and strong understanding of Health & Safety, including risk assessments and PTW/contractor management.
