Job Summary

Provide inspection and field testing for asphalt road construction projects, including profilographing, nuclear/PQI gauge readings, asphalt core sampling, and establishing rolling patterns to meet hot mix density and roadway smoothness specifications. Evaluate test results, adjust processes within control and specification limits, and maintain accurate records and equipment documentation. Coordinate with road crews and engineering/DOT contacts while supporting work across Midsouth asphalt plants and job sites.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide inspection and field testing services for asphalt road construction projects.
•Take nuclear or PQI gauge readings and record results in log books to maintain density requirements.
•Use profilograph and core drilling equipment to collect data and field density core samples for specifications.
•Evaluate test data, make process changes as necessary to keep results within specification limits, and maintain a test results database when required.
•Maintain testing equipment, transport equipment safely, and work at Midsouth asphalt plants and job sites as assigned.
