Job Summary

Operate rolling stock and perform general building equipment maintenance at the Tecumseh plant, including snow/ice removal and supporting waste water and sanitation operations as needed. Maintain grounds and facility areas, handle repairs such as lights and plumbing, assist with roof repairs, and support cleanliness of maintenance and truck shed areas. Work Monday–Friday with occasional overtime/weekends on the 3rd shift.

•Perform general repair and maintenance of building equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, company vehicles, and other company-owned equipment.
•Maintain company grounds, including snow/ice removal and lawn work.
•Perform maintenance and safe operation of rolling stock and support waste water treatment and sanitation operations as backup.
•Handle facility repairs such as replacing light bulbs and addressing plumbing needs; assist with roof repairs and clean-up.
•Maintain cleanliness of truck sheds, loafing shed, maintenance shop, bone yard, and perform trash removal.

Key Requirements

•6 month work history or participation in an industrial maintenance educational program, with maintenance experience preferred.
•Ability to carry out maintenance duties efficiently within safety guidelines and operate rolling stock safely.
•Efficiently use hand tools and trade-type tools to maintain facilities as required.
•Basic plumbing skills and some mechanical background, plus knowledge of vehicle maintenance (preventative/scheduled).
•Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain an operator’s license for forklift, skid loader, and pallet jack.
