Job Summary

Serve as a field service engineer supporting Emerson's distributed control systems at customer sites in Charlotte, NC. You will install, start-up, troubleshoot, and optimize control equipment, provide engineering advisory, and collaborate with internal teams to deliver timely service reports. Travel up to 75% and work hybrid from location. You’ll combine hands-on field work with remote support, helping customers improve reliability and performance of power and water solutions.

Key Responsibilities

•On-site instruction of customer personnel; writing and modifying maintenance procedures; quality control tests and/or product evaluation.
•Direct efforts of customer personnel engaged in installation of control systems, sub-systems, equipment, or their routine modification/repair.
•Provide direct engineering advisory assistance to the customer, and liaison within the company, on issues dealing with the equipment or related matters.
•Create complete and timely reports on all activities with emphasis on defining problems encountered, services.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or a similar technical curriculum
•0-2 years of related experience
•Be able to travel up to 75% of the time
•Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
•Experience programming with PLC and/or DCS software (preferred)
