Key Responsibilities

  • •Build large-scale ingestion pipelines including incremental, watermark-based extraction from API sources, file-based S3 inboxes, and Postgres to ClickHouse replication.
  • •Implement data contracts and typed source data so downstream consumers don’t handle untyped raw JSON and datasets are schema-driven.
  • •Own lakehouse schema management with a declare-to-codegen-to-apply pipeline to codify and apply schema intent across tenants.
  • •Enhance data security by scoping queries, building ACLs, and maintaining multi-tenant trust.
  • •Improve processing correctness and observability, including completeness checks, ingestion health, re-ingest flows, and traceability from ledger entries back to raw events.

Salary: USD 125,000 - 225,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •3+ years of software engineering experience with meaningful time on data-intensive systems.
  • •Strong SQL and understanding of columnar stores, partitioning, and query performance.
  • •Experience with a modern transformation/orchestration stack such as SQLMesh, dbt, Dagster, Airflow, or similar.
  • •Strong general-purpose programming; primarily TypeScript with some Python.
  • •Built or operated data pipelines/lakehouse/warehouse systems in production with opinions on ETLs, idempotency, watermarks, and backfills.
