Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist in planning and coordinating assigned projects by establishing schedules and project parameters, generating tasks, estimates, dependencies, and milestones.
  • •Work with the engineering team to support engineering programming and material selection activities related to projects.
  • •Help establish and maintain an operations budget by revising estimates based on validated scope and monitoring forecasted cost at completion.
  • •Support preparations for subcontractor requests for quotations (RFQs), including scope statements, milestone dates, specs, bonding requirements, and billing schedule of values.
  • •Communicate with contractors, subcontractors, and owners to discuss scope, budgets, performance, close-out, and project issues.

Key Requirements

  • •Actively enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program during the internship, with preference for Construction Engineering, Building Management, Construction Management, HVAC, Engineering, or equivalent.
  • •Completed at least the sophomore/2nd year before the start of the internship.
  • •Demonstrated knowledge of construction management processes, means, and methods through coursework, projects, groups, or hands-on exposure.
  • •Be a U.S. citizen or have the legal right to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
  • •Possess a valid driver’s license for at least 12 months and be able to provide proof of insurance (with no major/frequent traffic violations, including DUI within the prior 3 years).
