Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and manage a content pipeline by sourcing internal subject-matter expertise and turning updates, market insights, and milestones into external-facing communications.
  • •Draft and edit website copy, LinkedIn posts, articles, fact sheets, talking points, executive messages, and presentation content while maintaining consistent voice and editorial standards.
  • •Plan and support media relations by identifying reporters and opportunities, drafting pitches and press materials, monitoring coverage and market developments, and supporting interview and speaking prep.
  • •Manage digital and social communications by planning and executing content across channels, maintaining a LinkedIn content calendar, coordinating website updates with internal teams and partners, and providing basic performance reporting.
  • •Operate communications workflows by building content calendars and approval trackers, coordinating review/approvals with business leaders and Legal/HR/vendors, and managing communications timelines for recurring deliverables.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 130,000 - 150,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, English, Marketing, Energy Management, Business, or a related field.
  • •6+ years of experience in energy journalism, energy trade media, corporate communications, public relations, content strategy, or B2B communications.
  • •Strong knowledge of the U.S. energy industry, including one or more areas such as renewables, battery storage, natural gas generation, retail electricity, power markets, utilities, data centers, infrastructure, project development, or energy policy.
  • •Exceptional writing, editing, interviewing, and storytelling skills with strong editorial judgment and the ability to translate complex topics for external audiences.
  • •Strong project management skills to manage deadlines, approvals, stakeholders, and content calendars; must be able to work from the Houston office.
