Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and architect Alpaca’s algo trading platform for quality and performance.
  • •Write substantial production code and make critical technical decisions in a small team.
  • •Build robust concurrency and distributed system designs for high-throughput, high-availability operation.
  • •Develop and evolve backend and frontend components, including database and object-oriented data modeling.
  • •Implement and work with messaging-driven workflows using queues/brokers and related platform components.

Key Requirements

  • •Strong, experienced software engineering background with lead experience preferred.

  • •Strong knowledge of algorithms, scalability, databases, and concurrency control for high-availability systems.
