Job Summary

Join WSP’s Bridge & Infrastructure Inspection Team in Pennsylvania and support bridge, tunnel, and ancillary inspections. Perform structural engineering inspections and assist with bridge/tunnel load ratings, research, field work, and preliminary design calculations. Help develop plans/sketches using AutoCAD/Microstation, support cost proposals and scope documents, maintain project documentation, and provide guidance and training as an assistant team leader.

Key Responsibilities

•Work with the Bridge & Infrastructure Inspection Team on inspection-related projects.
•Assist as an Assistant Team Leader on Bridge, Tunnel, and Ancillary Inspections.
•Perform professional structural engineering work and inspections, including assistance with Bridge & Tunnel Load Ratings.
•Assist in the development of plans/sketches using AutoCAD/Microstation and support preliminary design calculations and analysis.
•Assist with project research, field work, cost proposals/scope of work documents, and collecting/maintaining project documentation.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
•3-5 years of experience in bridge, tunnel, or ancillary inspection or design or other infrastructure-related work.
•Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
•Proficient knowledge of structural engineering principles, practices, and process for project work.
•Physically capable of continuous field work (including heights, ladders, adverse weather, night work, and working around moving vehicles).
