Key Responsibilities

  • •Weigh loaded trailers in and print a weigh ticket.
  • •Distribute live haul trailers underneath a holding shed using a yard truck or tractor.
  • •Bring loaded trailers to be unloaded by a forklift, and return empty trailers to scales to establish tare weight.
  • •Enter tickets in a database and buck/un-buck trailers in a timely manner.
  • •Monitor holding shed fans and fogging systems per animal welfare guidelines and keep the scale office and surrounding areas clean.

  • •Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate.
  • •Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended shift hours.
  • •Ability to follow directions and work in other departments as needed.
  • •Basic math functions and skills.
  • •High school diploma or equivalent.
