Own an accounts receivable portfolio for diversified customers and drive collection performance to meet business unit and enterprise targets. Use collection software tools to reduce delinquency and improve Days Sales Outstanding (DSO). Handle customer inquiries, disputes, billing/payment issues, and past-due outreach, including credit hold decisions and credit line compliance. Support risk decisions with DNB reports and help promote and sell automated or pre-payment options.

Key Responsibilities

•Use available collection software tools to execute strategies that improve receivable delinquency and lower Days Sales Outstanding (DSO).
•Ensure timely, accurate responses to customer inquiries and issues involving documentation, billing, payment application, disputes, and program or sales changes.
•Proactively contact customers with past-due receivables, determine reasons for non-payment, and place accounts on credit hold when needed; provide phone support for incoming calls.
•Monitor the assigned customer portfolio to mitigate loss exposure by ensuring compliance with approved credit lines; recommend credit line changes and run DNB reports for credit references.
•Promote, negotiate, and sell automated or pre-payment options to customers.

Key Requirements

•High School Diploma required; BS/BA in Finance, Accounting, or other business degree preferred.
•1-3 years of experience in collections or a customer service role; manufacturing industry preferred; risk analysis and receivable collection experience is a plus.
•Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with internal teams, sales representatives, plants, and customers.
•Ability to prioritize daily, weekly, and monthly work to achieve or exceed collection metrics.
•PC literacy and basic Microsoft Office literacy required.
