Job Summary

Lead projects and guide a platform engineering team building and operating MongoDB’s self-service internal development platform. Partner with engineering teams to understand infrastructure needs, define automation and configuration management practices, and improve developer productivity. Own key parts of the platform, including production Kubernetes operations, CI/CD deployment workflows, observability practices (metrics, logs, traces), and SLI/SLO management, while collaborating with engineers across multiple time zones.

•Define, plan, and execute projects to run, grow, and transform MongoDB’s self-service internal developer platform.
•Take on direct reports and organize work for a team of platform engineers in coordination with other engineering leads.
•Lead by example and mentor other engineers.
•Investigate gaps in existing development workflows and translate new infrastructure/platform requirements into platform work.
•Write and review automation, configuration management, and application code; author and review scoping and functional specifications for platform projects.

•Strong production experience operating Kubernetes clusters and defining/operating SLI/SLOs for owned services.
