Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead design and plan development tasks, performing structural analysis and design for fixed and movable bridges, highways/railroads, transit structures, and similar projects.
  • •Maintain project scope, manage design changes and project budgets, and conduct independent QC/QA reviews while coordinating with others on projects.
  • •Mentor and develop junior staff and oversee cross-functional teams to execute project work across concurrent mid-level to multiple projects.
  • •Collect and analyze site data (surveys, blueprints, matrices) and oversee investigations/inspections to determine conformance with applicable standards and permits.
  • •Develop construction plans/specifications/cost estimates, support permit application engineering reviews and construction inspections, and deliver technical reports and client-facing updates.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (or closely related).
  • •7 to 10 years of relevant post-education engineering experience with prior structural design experience.
  • •Engineer license required (multi-state preferred) and highly proficient with structural engineering principles, practices, and design processes.
  • •Strong infrastructure planning/design experience, including rehabilitation/reconstruction and new design/construction project involvement.
  • •Highly proficient with technical computations and calculations, codes/regulations/compliance, and discipline-specific design software and technical writing.
