Key Responsibilities

  • •Proactively manage an assigned caseload of complex property claims and apply knowledge of claims coverage and potential legal liability.
  • •Investigate claim damages using research from insured, third parties, and external sources; identify discrepancies and subrogation potential.
  • •Analyze complex policy terms and contingencies to determine coverage; review prior loss history and create SIU referrals when appropriate.
  • •Negotiate and settle complex claims within authority limits; collaborate with management for settlements outside authority and manage claims outcomes.
  • •Maintain accurate, up-to-date claim file documentation; use estimating/virtual inspection tools and support CAT response/on-call and in-person inspections as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED.
  • •2 years of relevant property claims adjusting experience writing estimates for dwelling and structural damages of moderate complexity.
  • •Advanced knowledge of estimating losses using Xactimate or similar estimating tools and platforms.
  • •Proficient knowledge of residential construction and property claims contracts, including interpretation of case law and state laws/regulations.
  • •Ability to travel 50-75% of the year and acquire and maintain an insurance adjuster license within 90 days (3 attempts).
