Key Responsibilities

  • •Create program expense reports and collect/maintain receipts for monthly delivery to the global accounting team.
  • •Perform monthly reconciliation of company bank accounts and ensure timely vendor invoicing and payments.
  • •Distribute program funds monthly to staff based on the approved budget.
  • •Develop and support internal controls for Edify Kenya’s administration and accounting operations.
  • •Support fiscal year-end audit processes, tax returns, and government filings, including researching financial discrepancies and preparing budget requests with the Country Director.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
  • •3+ years of multi-faceted accounting experience.
  • •Non-profit experience and/or experience working with international staff or vendors.
  • •Experience with budgeting and cost accounting, including profit and loss analysis and loan portfolio analysis/loan repayment schedules.
  • •Experience using accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Intacct.
