Key Responsibilities

•Define and execute the technical strategy and architecture for services and APIs, focusing on scalability, reliability, security, and maintainability.
•Guide design reviews and de-risk complex initiatives, raising engineering quality without slowing delivery.
•Own architecture and system quality across services, including code reviews and enforcing standards.
•Drive operational excellence for production systems, including monitoring, incident response, and postmortems.
•Collaborate with Product and Design to translate customer needs into a roadmap and drive backlog and backlog execution across growth initiatives.

Key Requirements

•8+ years of backend engineering experience with distributed systems and high-availability architectures
•Proficiency in modern JVM ecosystems (Java 17+, Kotlin, Spring/Spring Boot) including multi-threading and high concurrency
•Expert knowledge of design patterns, microservices architecture, and event-driven/streaming systems (e.g., Kafka)
•Hands-on experience with cloud services and containerization (GCP/AWS, Docker, Kubernetes)
•Experience building API- and integration-heavy systems in production
