Key Responsibilities

  • •Extend credit according to the loan policy, ensuring lending decisions and documentation comply with laws and regulations.
  • •Interview commercial loan applicants and evaluate credit/financial history; assess collateral adequacy when applicable.
  • •Prepare loan offering memorandums, ensure loan documents are complete and accurate, and close/decline loans timely.
  • •Monitor an assigned loan portfolio, recommend risk-rating changes, and maintain current credit files and security documents.
  • •Develop new business and manage the existing portfolio, including collecting past-due payments and recommending workout programs for problem loans.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in general business, finance, economics, or accounting (or equivalent) and 5+ years lending experience.
  • •5+ years experience with banking, investment, or economic analysis; plus 2+ years using Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • •Broad knowledge of accounting, finance, and business administration to evaluate applicants and loans.
  • •Ability to write reports and business correspondence, and present information to managers, clients, customers, and the public.
  • •Ability to analyze probability/statistics concepts and solve practical credit-related problems with limited standardization.
