Key Responsibilities

•Define and execute a multi-year UX strategy for Salesforce developer tools across CLI, IDE extensions, cloud sandboxes, and AI-assisted canvases.
•Translate UX vision into technically feasible, performant code architectures by partnering with product managers, software engineers, and UX designers.
•Build code-backed prototypes and run design/tech spikes to validate emerging developer tooling patterns.
•Lead AI-native tooling design for human-agent interaction, prompt-to-code interfaces, and human-in-the-loop developer experiences.
•Recruit, mentor, and retain a team of DX-focused product designers and design technologists, partnering with SLDS to define UI patterns and component libraries.

Salary: USD 197,300 - 313,700 annually

Key Requirements

•10+ years of experience in UX Design, Product Design, or Developer Tooling.
•5+ years in a direct people management/leadership role overseeing design teams with a hands-on leadership style.
•Proven AI fluency with 2+ years building/designing/developing for modern AI tools, LLMs, AI coding assistants, or agentic frameworks.
•Deep familiarity with developer workflows and toolchains (IDE extensions, Git, CLI, CI/CD pipelines, APIs, and cloud environments).
•Formal training and professional experience in both UX/Product Design and Software Development (for example, HCI/CS degree or a dual designer/engineer career path), plus a related technical degree and a portfolio.
