Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform daily inspection of electrical construction activities including conduit installation, wiring, switchgear, motor control centers, instrumentation, and power distribution systems.
  • •Monitor contractor work to ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and applicable codes including NEC and NYC electrical codes.
  • •Review shop drawings, submittals, and RFIs related to electrical systems and provide field feedback.
  • •Coordinate with resident engineers, project managers, and other inspectors to ensure alignment across disciplines.
  • •Track and document daily construction activities, quantities, and progress through detailed field reports.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 5–10+ years of experience in electrical inspection on heavy civil, infrastructure, or water/wastewater projects
  • •Experience working with NYCDEP on wastewater treatment plant or pumping station projects highly preferred
  • •Strong knowledge of electrical systems including power distribution, controls, instrumentation, and SCADA environments
  • •Familiarity with NEC, NYC Electrical Code, and applicable industry standards
  • •OSHA 30 certification required
