Job Summary

Support top cloud customers with the Core Switching Group by ensuring the XGS-Tomahawk products operate in customers’ OS/platforms, diagnosing and patching software, and guiding API usage for traffic management. Serve as the technical liaison between Broadcom’s software teams and customers, delivering SDK overviews and presentations while working onsite in San Jose to drive next-generation Ethernet switching solutions.

Key Responsibilities

•Assist customers in running switch development kits in their OS/platform environment.
•Identify software bugs and write/suggest patches to fix issues.
•Suggest appropriate use of APIs to implement features like traffic management, congestion control, and scheduling.
•Provide SDK overview presentations and technical guidance to customers.
•Act as a liaison between Core Switching Group Software Development, Factory Application Teams, and customers.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 140,600 - 225,000

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science and 8+ years of embedded networking software design and development, or Master's degree with 6+ years of experience.
•Expertise in Ethernet L2/L3 switching protocols.
•Experience with embedded operating systems (Linux) and patching software; ability to write patches for large codebases.
•Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to work in a customer-facing role.
•Be a team player with initiative, able to prioritize and multitask in a dynamic environment.
