Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and oversee financial planning and analysis policies, systems, processes, procedures, and controls for the Operations area.
  • •Review and supervise day-to-day operations of the financial planning and analysis section to ensure compliance with established procedures.
  • •Manage month-end activities including accruals, operating parameter rationalisation, mass balance, plan to produce process, and inventory valuation.
  • •Review Operations area annual budgets and plans, rationalise variances, and monitor expenditures to support budgetary compliance and performance.
  • •Supervise internal financial controls, inventory reconciliation analysis, and provide management reporting and decision support to senior operations management, including capital expenditure monitoring.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting or equivalent.
  • •Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CMS, CIMA or equivalent).
  • •6–8 years of experience in financial planning and forecasting in a large manufacturing environment, including at least 3 years with progressively increasing managerial responsibilities in metal and mining.
  • •Experience managing a team and interacting with large groups involving different nationals.
  • •In-depth knowledge of the aluminum manufacturing sector and EGA’s products and business strategies.
