Key Responsibilities

  • •Build and evolve the Elastic MCP server and supporting infrastructure, primarily in Go.
  • •Create the platform for universal agent skills, including portable format, authoring/publishing tooling, and linting.
  • •Set correctness standards by ensuring shipped skills and tools are backed by evals.
  • •Design and deliver third-party ecosystem integrations in collaboration with product and external partners.
  • •Enhance the Elastic CLI and develop/maintain libraries, tools, and integrations across the Elastic Stack in multiple languages including Go and Rust.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years of software engineering experience building backend systems, services, or libraries.
  • •Proficiency with AI/ML frameworks and working understanding of LLMs, agents, agent skills, and MCP; interest in evaluating correctness.
  • •Significant recent experience with Go and (ideally) other languages.
  • •Knowledge of client-server networking, HTTP, and RESTful APIs.
  • •Strong product thinking and developer-experience focus, with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
