Job Summary

Lead the design and delivery of instrumentation and control systems for mining and heavy industrial facilities. Own control philosophy, system architecture, and functional specifications, and collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and process engineering teams to ensure fully integrated solutions. Drive innovation using automation and process control technologies, provide technical leadership and quality reviews, and support project execution from concept through commissioning and operational optimization while ensuring safety, regulatory, and quality compliance.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead the design and delivery of instrumentation and control systems for mining and heavy industrial facilities.
•Oversee control philosophy, system architecture, and functional specifications for complex process systems.
•Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and process engineering teams to deliver integrated project solutions.
•Apply advanced automation and control technologies to drive innovation throughout project delivery.
•Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and quality reviews, supporting execution through concept, commissioning, and operational optimization while ensuring safety, regulatory, and quality compliance.

Key Requirements

•At least 12+ years of electrical engineering design experience supporting heavy industrial facilities.
•Degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, or related Engineering discipline.
•Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility in Canada.
•Extensive instrumentation and controls engineering experience in mining or heavy industrial sectors.
•Strong expertise with PLC, DCS, SCADA, and process automation platforms, including developing control narratives, P&IDs, loop diagrams, and I/O lists.
