Job Summary

Produce electrical building services designs for railway stations and other railway buildings, working independently or as part of a team. Design low-voltage reticulation and distribution systems, UPS sources, and general and emergency lighting systems, including cable management systems and related sizing calculations. Create and present schematic and 2D layouts, model 3D MEP services using Bentley tools, interpret client specifications in English, and support technical/peer reviews while maintaining H&S.

Key Responsibilities

•Design low-voltage reticulation and distribution systems (230/400Volt) including UPS sources.
•Operate AMTECH / Electrical OM software to produce low-voltage system designs and present results.
•Design general and emergency lighting systems and apply knowledge of lighting types/sources (including LED types).
•Design cable management systems (trunking, tray, conduits) and prepare CMS sizing calculations.
•Model 3D MEP services using Bentley MicroStation and AecoSIM, generate 2D sections from 3D models, supervise/verify designers’ work, and take care of H&S for self and team members.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s/master’s degree in a relevant subject.
•Design low voltage reticulation and distribution systems (230/400Volt) including UPS sources.
•Operate AMTECH / Electrical OM software to produce low-voltage system designs, including selecting cable types and protective devices.
•Design general and emergency lighting systems, including knowledge of lighting types and sources (including LED types).
•Use Bentley MicroStation and AecoSIM to model 3D MEP services and work within BIM/common data environments (preferably Bentley ProjectWise), interpreting client requirements written in English.
