Key Responsibilities

  • •Rotate through construction activities focused on roadways, including working with construction crews and prep crews.
  • •Learn project management tasks such as sourcing, bidding, estimating support, and setting up contracts and subcontracts.
  • •Gain asphalt plant experience by working with plant operators, yard crew, equipment operation support, scale operations, and maintenance.
  • •Support business management learning, including monthly reporting, understanding job cost, workload, scheduling basics, and fundamentals of P&L and financial statements.
  • •Learn aggregate manufacturing operations at quarries/pits, including materials logistics and understanding available materials.

Key Requirements

  • •Working toward a bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or business management with interest in heavy construction such as site-work, roads, or environmental.
  • •Interest in gaining field and office experience with safety, quality control, project managers, superintendents, and road crews.
  • •Willingness to learn sourcing, bidding, and the build process for construction projects, including estimating and contract/subcontract setup.
  • •Ability to meet physical demands including lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs without assistance and working in outdoor conditions.
  • •Ability to work a flexible schedule based on project needs and demands.
