Job Function: Manufacturing & Production Operations

Key Responsibilities

  • •Hang hams onto trees with proper orientation and clipped properly.
  • •Process meat products by working with hand tools, knives (if trained), machinery, and other equipment.
  • •Push trees into the ovens (loadside of Smokehouse) and support production demands.
  • •Use a stripper knife to open netting if hams are not clipped properly and dispose of netting to keep the workstation clean.
  • •Read schedules and calculate the correct tree count per product to support safe, efficient production.

Key Requirements

  • •Be at least 18 years of age.
  • •Willing and able to lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to 40 pounds and push trees up to 2200 pounds regularly.
  • •Be able to push trees up to 2200 pounds into the ovens (loadside of Smokehouse).
  • •Read the schedule and calculate the correct tree count per product scheduled.
  • •Use good written and verbal communication skills and understand/follow oral and written instructions.
