Job Summary

Lead risk and control assessments for non-financial and financial risks across Hang Seng Insurance business units, ensuring effective use and continuous improvement of the HSBC risk management framework. Support issue and incident identification, escalation, root-cause analysis, and remediation plans. Embed risk and control into change initiatives, monitor emerging risk and incident trends through governance, coordinate reporting, and engage relevant 2LoD/3LoD stakeholders to prevent repeat issues.

Key Responsibilities

•Manage risk and control assessments covering non-financial and financial risks across Hang Seng Insurance business units.
•Support continuous improvement of the HSBC risk management framework, including trigger management, control design, and operating effectiveness assessment.
•Assist business units with identifying, escalating, and managing issues/incidents, including root cause analysis and practical remediation plans.
•Embed risk and control considerations into change initiatives to support safe launches and deployments.
•Coordinate risk and control management reporting and communicate key findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders.

Key Requirements

•University degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline.
•Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in insurance or banking with exposure to risk management and internal controls.
•Working knowledge of risk and control methodologies and tools including RCA, control testing/assurance, issue and incident management, and control monitoring.
•Demonstrated ability to design, assess, and improve controls with constructive challenge and pragmatic solutions.
•Strong analytical capability producing clear MI/reporting (e.g., dashboards, trend analysis).
