Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate vehicles according to state and federal transportation laws, transporting loads safely and on schedule while observing all traffic and safety regulations.
  • •Maneuver trucks and trailers into loading/unloading areas, following loading crew signals, and assist with loading/unloading using specialized equipment when needed.
  • •Maintain delivery documentation including signed invoices and shipping bills of lading, and deliver paperwork to the appropriate staff after route completion.
  • •Perform routine service on trucks (e.g., checking oil, water, gasoline, and air) and report maintenance malfunctions to the Shipping Supervisor.
  • •Arrange trailers in shipping yards and perform other related duties as assigned.

Key Requirements

  • •Must hold a commercial drivers license (Class A CDL) or chauffeur’s license (depending on state) appropriate for the vehicle weight.
  • •Must be able to pass background and drug testing, including a DOT physical for trucks over 10k lbs.
  • •Must be at least 21 years old to operate the company vehicle.
  • •Demonstrated ability to operate the vehicle safely and follow state/federal transportation laws and safety regulations.
