Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide “eyes on glass” monitoring using tools such as Splunk, Grafana, SiteScope, SCOM, SL1, and xMatters.
  • •Investigate and verify alerts and reported issues, including access to devices and analysis of graphing and logs.
  • •Escalate issues to the Tier 2 network operations team when necessary and perform firewall utilization monitoring.
  • •Support event and communication management for the NIH, including proactive response and coordination of necessary changes to prevent recurrence.
  • •Author reports and participate in incident review and active problem management activities, including preparing data for status/findings presentations and lessons learned.

Key Requirements

  • •AA/AS or equivalent experience with three years of related experience.
  • •Minimum of three years working in a help desk/service desk, customer service, or NOC environment.
  • •Minimum of three years IT experience with a solid understanding of networking and/or network monitoring tools.
  • •Working knowledge of IT infrastructure operations (systems/network administration, monitoring tools, security).
  • •Preference for BA/BS; familiarity with ITIL and monitoring/reporting tools such as Grafana, Splunk, xMatters, SCOM, SiteScope, and SL1.
