Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead execution of technical model validation reviews, including full or targeted scope validation assessments.
  • •Review validations to ensure technical alignment between TAS and the Model Risk Management team’s conclusions.
  • •Assess methodology, implementation, and “fit for use” status of models and related model components.
  • •Collaborate with model risk management stakeholders across first and second lines of defense to maintain relationships and provide subject-matter expertise.
  • •Provide leadership by training, coaching, and mentoring junior team members and contributing to improvements in model risk governance processes.

Key Requirements

  • •Master’s in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, or a formal post-undergraduate certification focused on quantitative or financial analytics.
  • •6+ years of technical model experience in model validation, model development, or an equivalent technical review/audit role.
  • •Proficiency with one or more financial modeling methodologies, including statistical and algorithmic methods.
  • •Ability to work independently without supervision.
  • •Strong programming and data tooling skills, including R, Python, or C++ and database tools such as SAS and/or SQL.
