Key Responsibilities

  • •Set up and run punch press, power shear, hydraulic/mechanical power brakes, EHRT machine, and other fabrication equipment.
  • •Select suitable sheet material, lay out work from blueprints/sketches/work orders, and use shop mathematics to calculate angles and curves.
  • •Cut and shape metal into three-dimensional forms using hand and power-driven tools and fabrication machines.
  • •Fit and join sheet-metal parts using riveters, welding, soldering, and similar equipment; grind and buff seams and surfaces.
  • •Inspect product quality and installation for conformance to specifications and maintain equipment; print work orders and dispatch lists.
