Job Summary

Build and operate the Observability team’s production telemetry systems for ground and cloud nodes. Own the core observability plane for high-volume, high-availability telemetry ingestion, monitoring, and alerting, and support seamless transitions between cloud-connected and off-line/airgapped environments. Partner with Robotics Data Foundation and Fleet Management to make monitoring and alerting first-class primitives, and coordinate with SRE and software teams to integrate infrastructure across the business.

•Architect and design the core observability plane for high-volume, high-availability telemetry ingestion.
•Operate and manage centralized monitoring and alerting infrastructure for production telemetry systems.
•Build observability support for both cloud-connected and off-line/airgapped environments.
•Collaborate with Robotics Data Foundation and Fleet Management teams to ensure monitoring and alerting primitives are supported in their products.
•Determine monitoring and alerting posture for the core observability system and integrate infrastructure with other SRE and software teams.

Salary: USD 166,000 - 220,000 annually

•Engage closely with engineering teams to understand their needs and gaps, proactively improve systems, and work with internal customers.
•Enable metrics-driven engineering and data-driven incident investigation, including workflows for root-cause analysis and triage across services and environments.
•On-call rotation experience supporting high-availability production systems.
•U.S. Person status is required to access export controlled data.
